Hike Pre-Inca Trail - Half Day
Pick up from Café Florín at 08:30. One hour ride through forests and little villages ascending to the chapel of Chataquila at 3665 m.
On the rim of the “Cordillera de los Frailes” you walk down the Inca trail to Chaunaca at 2900 m.
while you enjoy impressive views all around over the Maragua Crater. The hike is 95 % downhill and very easy, you only need good walking shoes and sunscreen.
When you reach Chaunaca our car will pick you up and take you to the Ravelo River for a rest. Here you can have a footbath or a (cold) swim and we serve fruit, coffee and tea with cookies.
By the way, for walking along the Inca trail we pay your fee, which is for the local communities who guard and maintain the sites and the trail.

- Leave at 08:30 from Café “Florín”. Back around 14:00
- Hiking 7 Km. in about 3 hrs.
- Time spend in the car about 2½ hrs

You need to bring:
Daypack with food, water, good walking shoes, hat, sunscream, sunglasses, camera, bathing suit, towel , and if you want fruit or candies for the little local kids on the way (or children toys such as soccer ball, school material, etc...) and personal necessities.
