Jungle Madidi - 2 Days group-service

Day 1: La Paz - Rurrenabaque - Madidi Jungle.

08:30 - Departure by boat from Rurrenabaque to Madidi Jungle.
The comfortable outboard boat ride takes 3 hours.
The trip is an opportunity to observe the flora, fauna and landscapes as the Bala Canyon.

10:30 - Arrival at a place called Caquiahuara, where for a period of 15 minutes will be able to observe the natural clay wall of nesting macaws.

12:00 - Arrival at Madidi Jungle Ecolodge and accommodation in Typical housing with shared bathrooms.

13:00 - Lunch and Rest.

15:00 - Walk down the Tareche path towards the wall of macaws and parrots nesting near the Aguapolo River. Here we can observe birds, especially macaws and parrots and interpret the tropical rainforest. During this tour we will hopefully see some species of primates and mammals.
One of the most common species are the wild boars that live in large groups.
After watching the sunset and the wall of nesting macaws, we return to the Ecolodge.
This activity will take approximately 4 to 5 hours.

18:00 - Dinner at Madidi Jungle Ecolodge.

Option A:   Night Walk on one of our trails to observe the nocturnal wildlife of the jungle.
Ideal for listening to the symphony of the forest caused by a countless variety of insects.

Option B:   Talk about the history of the Indian community San José de Uchupiamonas and
Madidi National Park.



Day 2: Madidi Jungle - Rurrenabaque

07:30 - Breakfast at the Ecolodge.

08:00 - Walk along the Mapajo Trail.
Accompanied by a native guide you will have the opportunity to explore different ecosystems to interpret the rainforest from the ancient wisdom combined with scientific knowledge.
Explanation of medicinal plants. Wildlife observation. Return to camp.
The activity lasts 4 to 5 hours.

12:30 - Lunch and rest.

14:00 - Optional: Handicraft activity or short walk along the Cullpana path.

15:30 - Return by boat to Rurrenabaque. During your return trip, we recommend you to stay tuned to the guide, this tour is a last chance to see exotic species such as the black caiman, capybaras and much more. If you are lucky; watch the jaguar and giant river otter!
The return trip by boat takes 2 hours.

17:30 - Arrival to Rurrenabaque. Transfer to the airport or accommodation in Hotel (not included).

What to bring with you:
  • Big backpack and a medium-sized one for trips
  • Comfortable Clothes of cotton, long sleeved shirts of clear colors
  • Bathing suit
  • Hat or cap
  • Closed and comfortable shoes to walk
  • Sun block cream
  • Insect repellent


To make this trip it would be recommended an early flight from the city of La Paz to Rurrenabaque or stay one night before in this city. The flight takes 40 minutes and is an opportunity to enjoy the breathtaking view of the Cordillera Real de los Andes and the majestic Amazon rivers Beni and Tuíchi.
